Resources from the Virtual School Leadership Alliance
The Leadership Alliance members collaborate on resources that we hope you will find useful for your programs.
North Carolina Virtual Public School Resources
The following resources are available on the North Carolina Virtual Public School website.
Online Physical Education with NCVPS Guide
This guide helps acquaint stakeholders with how NCVPS operates its online physical education course. (We hit national news with this back in the summer when a few provocateurs questions how PE could possibly be done online. This guide cleared up a lot of those misconceptions.)
Online Visual Arts with NCVPS Guide
This guide showcases our visual arts courses. (We occasionally get negative reviews from traditional classroom visual arts teachers who do not understand how the arts can be taught online.)
Virtual Charters vs. NCVPS
We’ve had two virtual charters open this past year in North Carolina. One has a name very similar name to ours, the North Carolina Virtual Academy. We created this web page to delineate the differences without provoking any negativity between us and them.
Blended Learning with NCVPS
We have several programs where we use a traditional classroom co-teacher. We created this presentation to orient schools and our classroom co-teachers who partner with us.
NCVPS Scorecard
The scorecard is designed to highlight the successful statewide use of North Carolina Virtual Public School. Critical metrics show student performance, our top enrolling districts as well as the most popular courses. Information about courses including type and grade level distribution is also included. Scorecards for individual districts displaying current data were shared with superintendents.
